NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — January 25, 2011 — Road & Track (RoadandTrack.com), the nation's longest-running and most trusted automotive magazine, today announced it has redesigned key elements of its content taking its sophisticated look to a new level. The redesign hits newsstands February 1st.
The new Road & Track enhancements include:
"Just as the auto industry retools vehicle models every four years or so, we felt it was time for a change," said Road & Track Vice President and Editor-in-Chief Matt DeLorenzo. "As part of this transformation process, we decided a redesign in both the appearance and functionality of our content was in order."
According to Richard Baron, Design Director at Road & Track, the new fonts are cleaner and more sophisticated, with an open, square-shouldered design that naturally complements the magazine's terrific photography.
"It's a look you'll see repeated across all our print and digital platforms," he promised.
Associate Art Director Bert Swift, who worked with Baron during the redesign process, says subtle enhancements to the Road & Track logo reflect the overall look-and-feel of the magazine's sleek new fonts for consistency in brand image.
"These changes were a team effort," said DeLorenzo. "Our designers worked closely with engineering and road test staff to make our magazine more aesthetically appealing while enhancing the information we provide in the process. Overall, I think it's a huge success — and I think our readers will agree."
